Search and rescue costs

If you go missing during a trip or need to be physically rescued from an emergency situation, the costs for search, rescue and recovery will be covered.

The insurance covers the cardholder (primary, second, additional and partner cards), their spouse or partner living in the same household and children under the age of 25 who are entitled to support, provided they live in the same household or are resident in Switzerland.

The following prerequisites must be met for the insurance to provide cover:

• During the trip or while using public transport or means of transport, the insured person goes missing or needs to be physically rescued from an emergency situation.

The following maximum insured sum applies per event and per person:

• CHF 60 000: World Mastercard Silver, Visa Classic, Visa GKB HCD Card, World Mastercard Gold, Visa Gold, Flying Blue World Mastercard, Visa Platinum and Visa Collect Card.

There is no policy excess.

The insurance is included in the annual fee for your Viseca card and does not cause any additional costs.
