The following qualify as related persons:
- spouse or partner
- fellow residents
- parents and step-parents
- children, step-children, foster children and adoptive children
- siblings
- carers of minors or relatives in need of care
- legal guardians and persons under guardianship
- very close friends or relatives with whom there is extensive contact.
Related persons are not insured persons and therefore do not benefit from insurance protection. However, if a trip or an event must be cancelled or interrupted due to an accident or serious illness concerning a related person, or if the event cannot be attended for this reason, this is an insured event.
